Keynote Speaker

What if lessons from research mathematics could be relevant in your professional life, even if you’re not a mathematician? Dr. Judith Zeilinger takes the insights from her time as a research mathematician and brings them to the stage with humor, warmth, and ideas you won’t expect. Her keynote What if math could help you find your dreams? is one you’ll carry with you long after you leave the room.

Author

What if the problem was never you, but the way math was taught? In Math (Re)Imagined, Dr. Judith Zeilinger offers a fresh start for anyone who’s ever felt “not a math person.” With humor, empathy, and surprising insights, she invites readers to experience math in a way they never have before: Not a source of anxiety, but a gateway to curiosity, confidence, and joy.

Hi, I'm Judy

I’m a former research mathematician who spent years obsessing over the math that describes accelerated atomic nuclei, and other kind of problems that keep you up at night (in the best possible way).

Somewhere along the way I realized that the mindset that drives mathematicians to pursue their work with such passion and dedication is something anyone can learn. And one that most people desperately need.

So I left academia to share it. Through my keynotes and my book Math (Re)Imagined, I help people see the world the way a mathematician views math. And actually give a damn again.

FAQs

The keynotes are for anyone who suspects their audience deserves better than another forgettable motivation talk. Judy speaks to professionals across industries who are navigating complexity and change, and who have quietly stopped caring as much as they used to. No math background required!

Energy, humor, and ideas you genuinely won’t see coming. Judy’s talks draw on real stories from her life as a research mathematician to show why some people are deeply passionate about their work while most are just going through the motions — and what anyone can do about it. Audiences leave with a fresh perspective and, more often than not, a lot to think about on the way home.

Not at all! Judy’s work isn’t about equations, it’s about how we think. Math and science are used as metaphors to explore curiosity, problem-solving, and leadership. You’ll leave inspired, not intimidated.

Judy’s keynotes are typically 45 to 60 minutes, delivered live on stage, and require no math knowledge whatsoever. For detailed information on content and pricing, please visit the Keynotes page, and for logistics the For Organizers page. Also, feel free to contact Judy at any time via the contact form to clear up any further questions.

Workshops are group sessions for STEM researchers and scientists looking to communicate their work more effectively. Individual training sessions are 1-on-1 and tailored to your specific communication goals. For full details, please visit the relevant service pages.

It’s a book about rediscovering curiosity through the lens of mathematics. And don’t worry, you don’t need to be good at math to enjoy it! Rather, Judy holds you by the hand and, through stories of famous thinkers and her own experiences. She invites you, the reader, to see math — and yourself — in a new light. The book aims to reignite the joy of figuring things out, one “aha!” moment at a time.

The easiest way is through the contact form. Looking to book a keynote? The Keynote and For Organizers pages have everything you need to get started. For workshops, trainings, or anything else, just reach out and Judy will get back to you within 2 business days.
